East Martello Museum
The East Martello Tower was built in 1862 by the U.S. Army to protect Ft. Zachary Taylor from Confederate attack. Artifacts and displays of Florida Keys history, Robert The Haunted Doll, junkyard sculptures by Stanley Papio, and the painted woodcarvings of folk artist Mario Sanchez now fill this Civil War fort.
