East Martello Museum
The East Martello Tower was built in 1862 by the
U.S. Army to protect Ft. Zachary Taylor from
Confederate attack. Artifacts and displays of
Florida Keys history, Robert The Haunted Doll,
junkyard sculptures by Stanley Papio, and the
painted woodcarvings of folk artist Mario Sanchez
now fill this Civil War fort. Enjoy your wedding
or party in our tropical garden. Daily 9:30am-5pm.

Museum

the late Nobel Prize winner, Ernest Hemingway. A
Registered National Historic Landmark. Have a

Fort Zackary Taylor State
Historic Site
Tour Civil War fort which contains the largest
collection of Civil War armaments in the United
States. The only deep water swimming beach in Key
West. Excellent snorkeling, biking and nature

to this splendid Caribbean Colonial House.

Keeper's Quarters Museum
